| It's a
dirty job but somebody has to do it. Well you are
either computer challenged, very busy, tired or
loaded with money (Kil and I really like you guys
in the last category:-). So you are here to see
about installing a CGI program. First I am sure
you want to know what we will do for the money,
second how competitive is our prices and what are
the prices. Ok let's start with what do we do. |
1. We provide the
script. Scripts are free of
course and we will also install a script that you
provide. However in that case we charge by time
as we don't know how good the script is, it it
has bugs and how long it will take to install. So
if you want CGI stick with our scripts. |
2. We will install the
script within the parameters of your site. We
will contact your site host and get all of the
path information. What is supported and what is
not and generally perform all the preinstallation
details. If you site does not have CGI-capability
we will inform you of that and help you make
arrangements so that you can have the convenience
of a CGI function. Our general arrangements give
you two choices:
(1) We will host
your script on our server for a one dollar a
month band-width fee. We are on a quality
high speed server as such we pay for band
width usage after a certain point and we
never fail to reach that point. A dollar per
month (one year in advance) will provide you
with unlimited service from us. The dollar
buys about 5 meg of band width a month more
than enough to support your requirements
unless you get in the over 1,000 visitors a
day category all of whom use your CGI
functionality. Of course if that is the case
you are making enough off of advertising
what's a dollar:-)
(2) Help you start
up a mirror site on a free web space provider
and through redirection be able to use the
CGI. Everything except the inner workings of
your CGI script will take place on your web
site so that your guest will never know that
they are using something off site. This is of
course free and you have the added attraction
of having a mirror site.

| 3. We
will install in the early morning hours so that
there is the least amount of interruption.
If we cannot finish in
that one morning we will leave your site fully
functioning under it's old configuration and
finish the next morning. |
4. We will install it and
work with it until we have it working to the
specifications on the script. We will discuss
this with you by email prior to starting. We do
not write or rewrite scripts. If you would like
an original script we can do it but be warned
this runs around $60.00 an hour and no correct
estimation of the actual time to write, debug and
test the script can be given. However at least
eight hours would be a reasonable minimum. This
is for original script writing based upon your
desires and finishing the writing part so that it
can be installed to your complete satisfaction.
Yes there are people who claim they can do it in
less time. Usually this means just hacking a
script already done and convincing you it's
great. After our email discussion we will begin
installing the script.5. In many cases the scripts
call for web pages to be made that should have
your designs and theme. We do not do HTML pages
as part of this except the bare boned pages
needed to operate the script. As an example
Formmail needs at least one form to make it work.
We will design this for you to include all the
function such as name, address and what ever
other fields you require up to two screen's full
on one page but we will not do any art work, text
blocks and so on. We will do this but at an
additional charge of $45.00 an hour to include
library graphics no original graphics unless you
provide them.

6. We
will visit it at least three more time to see
that it is functioning properly. Also we will
provide you with a self installing back up of the
finished product in case you must move servers or
have a hard disk failure.
A lot of conditions? We don't think so. There are
so many here because we want to be honest and
forthright with you from the beginning. Anything
else would not bring you the quality of work you
have a right to expect. Our rates are very low
for CGI installations when all factors are taken
into account. Our pricing is based upon nothing
going wrong and that you are appraised before
hand of the problems that might come up. Before
starting the following must be provided.
- A 50% deposit
by check or money order received
before work is started. 25% of the
total price is non refundable after
receipt of your check. To speed
things up we do accept checks by fax.
If you prefer to do things this way
we will inform you of the details.
- Your site
information: URL, User ID Password
and access to your CGI area if this
is secured by your host.
- A thank you or
"success" HTML page for
those scripts that require them. We
will inform you of when it is needed.
- A projection
of when you would like it done. The
ending period 48 hours after the
beginning date
To obtain the military
and veterans pricing proof of status must be
given. A copy of an ID card, 214 or current
membership card in a veterans service
organization that requires veteran status to
join.. Family members must provide the proof of
an eligible family member.
